In preparation for this memorial Day celebration, and preparation for the annual "Ride to the Wall", I would like to take a minute of your time and say thank you to all of your club members who may be veteran's, and those you are not veteran's. We all know that bikers do a great deal for charity, for the military men and women and for other events in their community.

I myself, am a retired US Army SFC, and I am dedicated to riding to the wall each memorial day in honor of our past, present, and future military members.

I would like to respectfully request a few minutes of your time to introduce you to "Grass Roots 4 the Troops". The Mission of Grass Roots 4 the Troops is to fill the unmet needs and comforts of military men and women serving in harm’s way and those hospitalized or living with disabilities acquired from their recent military service.

Our Mission statement is to fill the unmet needs and comforts of troops serving in harm’s way and those hospitalized or living with disabilities acquired from their recent military service. Our mission depends entirely on donations.

This mission is accomplished in many different ways by our volunteers. Such as:

• Providing comfort items to the men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan . Our volunteers from Texas , to Colorado , to Virginia , to Florida donate their time and money to hand make "Cooling Ties", "Knitted Head Wraps", and in addition, we team with "Project Angel Shoes", in sending items forward to the AOR.

• Grass Roots 4 the Troops also provides comfort items to returning military personnel who have been injured in the performance of duty and are currently undergoing medical treatment in hospitals throughout the United States.

If you have a soldier in Iraq , Afghanistan , or in a medical facility that you would like for us to send items too, simply let me know via the Grass Roots 4 the Troops web site and I will insure that we honor your request.

Every dollar is used to purchase items needed to make our troops and veterans more comfortable and safe. Donated funds are also used for shipping expenses. These costs are very high so every dollar counts.

I respectfully request that you forward this e-mail to all of your club members and let them know the ongoing effort that so many volunteers contribute too, in order for our "Non-Profit" Organization to be successful.

Our web site is: www.grassroots4thetroops.com , along with seeing the tremendous work we are accomplishing, your members might wish to visit our store on line.

Thank you for your time and for sharing this e-mail with your many club members.
