Toy Ride - A Big Success!

Here is a note from Ken regarding the success of the Toy Ride:

We were blessed with GREAT weather the rescheduled day of the ride. Temps ran about 85 degrees - it was overcast but no rain - truly awesome weather for December!

We had 125 motorcycles - many riding double. We started at Wagon Wheel Video at South Gate of Camp Shelby went out Elks Lake Rd thru Dixie out Brown's Bridge Rd almost to Purvis, curved around by Rock Hill up by Paul B Johnson State Park into McLaurin and stopped at McLaurin Methodist Church where the church ladies had burgers & hotdogs waiting for us. The Pettis Family Band was jammin thru the afternoon. Another blessing was that the ride was completely safe with no accidents or injuries.

We collected three truckloads of toys and have helped about 68 kids so far with more blessings happening daily. THANKS SO MUCH to everybody who participated & God Bless You.

Merry Christmas!

Where was everybody?

We had a very nice ride on Saturday, even though there were just two bikes. The weather was perfect, although pretty cool that morning and we had to put our leather on. By lunch time the temp was warmer and the leather came off.

We're hoping for more perfect weather next weekend.

Marlin and I plan to ride somewhere if the weather is nice as predicted. Not sure where, but we're thinking about going down towards Wiggins and hitting Hwy 15 down to the coast, then across the coast and back towards home on Hwy 603/53. Both highways are nice and curvy. We recently discovered Hwy 15 but it was raining so we want to go back and ride it in the sunshine.

It really doesn't matter where we ride, we just wanna ride. Oh, and by Saturday, Marlin should have his new exhaust installed.

If anybody wants to ride, meet us at the Bellevue gas station at Hwy 98 and 589 - 8:30 a.m.

Hey Guys

I have got to tell everyone this story. THE MOST EXCITING RIDE EVER!!!! no kidding. Just think about having a small chicken snake come out from under the gas tank while doing 65 with nowhere to pull over. Yes it happened. I first seen it I thought it was a shoe string or something flopping around between the forks and the tank. I seen it was a snake and I could not turn alose and grab it so I started looking for some where to stop. By the time I seen somewhere to pull over it was gone. I did not know where it was so we started taking the bike apart beside the highway. Never did find it so I guess it fell off. Terri was not to pleased with the situation. She wanted to know what was going on but I would not tell here till I pulled over. The rest of the day was good and It was a good rally that we went to. It was at a lake in Crystal Springs. There was about 700 bikes there. We paraded thru town and threw candy and beads to the kids. The money that was raised went to the National Autism Society.

I thought you would get a kick of of this. Some people said that they would have let the snake have the bike but that was not something that you can do at 65MPH.
TOP this if you can!!!

Later Jeff
