We'll meet at Hardees in Columbia, Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. and ride to Natchez. Some of us will get there a bit earlier to eat.
Let's hope this beautiful weather will still be around on Saturday.
June of this year, we went to The Great Smoky Mountains. We stayed in Maggie Valley, NC, and took rides all around the Smokies. One route included several waterfalls, and of course we rode Deal’s Gap, a.k.a. The Tail of the Dragon - 318 curves in 11 miles! What a blast! We also visited the Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum - some of the ladies got to ride the Big Bike with the owner, Dale Walksler.
In April 2006, we got together for a 4-5 day ride in San Antonio, TX. We didn't get to see many blue bonnets in bloom, but we saw beautiful Texas scenery and spent one day roaming around the River Walk and Alamo.
We've met some very nice people on our rides, and we hope to meet many more. It’s amazing how a motorcycle can start nice conversations and give us the opportunity and good fortune to meet new and interesting people.
If you see a biker, smile and say hello, we’re nice people.
